Most useable Version of Vixen 3?

I'm the first to say that Vixen 3 isn't completely stable. It's beta for a reason -- but unfortunately it'll stay that way until we can get enough people using it and giving feedback and finding the bugs. Unfortunately we aren't a professional software development house, so have effectively no testing resources. We try to do some testing and sanity checks, but there's only so much we can do. :-)

Call me a masochist, but I am going forward with V3 this Christmas. I am a little late getting started but unforeseen events since late August has caused a rather long delay in getting going. My boards are out to fab and should be here in ten days. Everything is planned and ready for them. 97 DMX channels all dimable. May add more if there is enough time and money.

i do hope this works. It is dedicated to the memory of my father.

For what is worth, I am a software developer (part-time) and will be using the Vixen 3 version for next year. I also know that having the software tested and used throughout the year is the key to getting the bugs worked out. So with that I will be starting the process after the 1st of the year and being new to the community and "shows" should help the testing process (I think). I have some fairly large plans for this next year and looking to use for Halloween, Christmas and a few other holidays/events that I planned for the upcoming year. Hopefully this will help to get version 3 "officially" released for large scale use.

BTW - I love what you guys are doing here and the fact that my kids are really excited to learn and assist; we do this as a "family" project. A few of my kids are a bit young yet to help but enjoy the "blinky, blinky" however I have a couple that are old enough to help me out with the construction and kicking around ideas.
