Make sure your WAV file is not Corrupted.

Many of you have MP3 files that you want to sequence to.

HLS requires a WAV file because I have to do things like DSP filtering - etc.

There are some GOOD and BAD MP3 to WAV converters available for free on the Net.

From Version 4P on - I have added "Corrupted WAV File" detection - meaning I check to see if the file contains data I may not be able to process.

When you initially load the song - I will perform the detection process and warn you of the possibility.

If I suggest that you PLAY the audio prior to starting any sequence activity - please do so.

I don't want you to find out you have a WAV file I can't process after you have put in a couple hours of sequence work.

Joe - have you thought of supporting sequences with no audio? I use these for both Memorial Day and 4th of July since I don't run audio out (speakers or radio). LOR used to (may still) call these "animation sequences" (with .las file extension) and those with audio "musical sequences" (with .lms extension).

Never occurred to me someone would sequence without audio.

I will add the ability to not require audio - I have have to look into the implementation details.

Have you looked for a library you could add to your build that has conversions from the various formats to WAV? Sure would solve the problem as you would always know the conversion would be correct.

Just a thought.

I can already convert MP3 - do it in the program that pays my bills.

Starting off HLS - I took the easy path - let you do it.

When I get time - I will implement that conversion myself so you don't have to.

Are there any export settings you check for (compression, stereo/mono, sample rate)? Trying to give HLS a test but I've tried converting a certain MP3 to WAV with Audacity, FreAc, and Adobe Soundbooth but HLS says all results "file does not apprear to be a wav file".

The wav's play just fine in WMP. PC is Win7 64 bit if that matters.

What hls version are you using ? get the latest version 5m .

Ya it's 5m, that online converter worked.

Only difference I see in HLS where it gives you the wav stats is the one from the online converter was a higher sampling rate. Granted I know my PC uses the Windows wav encoder not sure what that website is using.
