Thanks jaywalk that sounds easy enough although last year by newbi mistake I had opened vixen twice and it was causing issues, could that have been because both instances of vixen were programmed to the same com setting?

Will opening two instances on Seperate con ports eliminate the need for a second sound card?

I think you still need the second sound card, unless you're just planning to play sound in the tunnel and no other sound anywhere else.

Do you need to have stereo outside? You could have totally different sound on each channel.

As far as sharing the sound card… it depends. If your sound card shows multiple drivers, you might be able to use different drivers for each instance of Vixen. I’ve had soundcards that I could do this with. Vixen really is just showing you the driver that it finds; see if there is more than one.

As low as $2.10 shipped. I have that $2.10 one and it works nice (in general) for sound output...

Mine is running my background sequence on Sound card (USB) 1 and the coffin sequence is running on the other Sound card (USB). Both are looped and playing over and over. I did not need another instance of Vixen. In fact I just loaded a third sequence with lights and sound and all three are running just fine. Do remember I am using a Grinch as my controller. My pc is a Dell 170 (2.8 gig with only 256 MB of ram) with XP and service Pack 3.

I figured out an easy way
I'll just run the main show off one controller and CPU then run the tunnel off of a laptop and Seperate controller. Gould have bought of that sooner sometimes I have to laugh at myself.
