Default exploding star without welding or paint for RGb

hello here is my firestar made of 1/2 aluminum 1/8 thick ( 30 cent a ft )
1- cut 10 piece of 13 inch ( outside star)
    2- cut 10 piece of 9 inch ( midle star )
3- cut 10 piece of 5 inch ( center start)
4-drill a hole ( depending of size of rivet used ) mine are 1/8 solid but pop rivet will do ... 1/4 inch from end on all piece
5-install rivet... then form the star ( as seen on righ side picture )
for center pole i used 1/2 hex 3 ft ( 50 cent foot) but any thing can do ..angle aluminum .. round stuck ... choice is yours.. i also used longuer rivet but a bolt and nut will do the trick too
    voila a 3d star exploding ...
the rgb strip fit perfectly using 1/2 wide alumin.. rgb are cut to 12 inch for the outside star ..8 for the midle and 4 for the center leaving room for the rivet so it does not interfeer
now here is the good and bad news,,, cost was aprox 25 $ so is it worth it to build one ??? yea it is but you can buy one already build from terry with less headhake http://www.terryslightedchristmas.com/Store.html... but shipping in canada is a killing so this option is cheaper for me and free when you have the stuff from work lol also the flat aluminum make the attaching rgb way easier then round stuck and i dont need to paint as alluminum will take for ever to rust ....
    cheer

With only one rivet in the corners, how do you keep it from sagging when you put lights on it?

    Henri,
Nice work. I appreciate the plug for my frames. Yes it is expensive to ship up there and shouldn't be.
