Can I get input of this design? Not sure if there are any issues with this set up.
I like this better (Than post #25) for some reasons and not for others.
The break out board floats on top of the Cat 5 cables coming off the Ren48LSD
    Pros:
    1. No bending wires (4 conductor and cat5)
    2. Neater/cleaner design
    3. Easier to run wires
    Cons:
    1. The board floats on top of 48LSD
    2. Need to remove all Cat 5 cables before you can access or see board
    Please comment
I like the first one with the breakouts in the lid, but your the one with direct experience on this.

I've used fishing tackle boxes for 10 years and have had no problems they handle the heat/cold and most are uv resistant and pretty weather tight.
Also the handle makes them easy to carry .
You want to make sure you get the ones where the handle is attached to where water won't get in.

Here's where I mounted a switch and RPM bridge on the same side in an enclosure. More info here.

I used an old 16 port Lan Switch that failed after a lightening strike.

I like the one with the BoB on the lid... But since building it, opening and closing it a few times has revealed a lot of pulling on the R G B W wires out of the terminal blocks.
