Art Looking at the website this uses and internal web server for input.
More channels then I can use.
More light bulbs then I care count.

If the IP's aren't in the same range, (example: 192.168.1.xxx) then you won't be able to talk to the sign. I would guess someone assigned your sign an IP, so it will never show up in your router. You have to try to get to the sign directly, and if it isn't in the same range (example, your router is in 192.168.1.xxx and the sign is in 10.0.10.xxx), then you have to be comfortable enough to re-program your router to the new range, at least temporarily, to communicate to the sign. This process is not for the faint of heart.

One thing to try is to install WireShark and connect the ethernet cable directly from your PC to the sign - if the LAN port does not come up, you may need a crossover cable. Start WireShark capture to that port, power cycle the sign and capture what it puts out (if anything). It might give an indication of it's IP address this way. It does not matter what IP address you set your PC port to as WireShark puts your port into promiscuous mode where it simply listens to everything. Hopefully from this you can at least get the subnet it's wired up for.
