I recentlypurchased a couple of small lots of Xbee Pros through Ebay and one large lot of Xbee Prosfrom ComputerCorps directly. Accordingto ComputerCorp these Xbee Pros were salvaged from new units that were beingupgraded before being placed in the field and that these Xbee Pro units have satin storage and never been used. Each batchI have received appears to be in like new condition with all pinsstraight. All units are the newer DigiXbee Pros none are the older Maxstream units. I have bench tested each unit, upgraded the firmware, and then tested eachin both transmit and receive mode with the RenardSS code using a Ren48LSD andDIYC Floods to conduct the test.
The XBee Pros being sent to DIYC memberswill be programmed for the Renard SS Controllers with the following settingsunless otherwise requested:
InterfaceData Rate: 57,600
FlowControl: None
DataBits : 8
Parity:Mark Parity
StopBits: 2
PANID: 3332
MACMode: option 1 – 802.15.4 No ACKS
PacketizationTimeout: 0
Starting in June, I plan to also be offering some of these units on Ebay in a "Buy it Now" listing for around $18.95 each including shipping. The membership restriction is prevent people from joining DIYC just to get the DIYC price. If they want to become a supporting member I will honor the DIYC price.
