First real order for 2012

Now that I've evaluated various pixels I'll be placing an order for the following:

10 - http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/7...0-SMD-RGB.html - These should be waterproof by silicon coating. These are for the roof line of my house as well as a couple star bursts.

5 - http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/7...-a-string.html - 4" spacing - These are to convert my old LED mega-tree start to RGB.

15 - http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/7...-a-string.html 4" spacing - These are for stars, and other small projects to build.

2 - http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/7...vel-DC12V.html - 4" spacing - These are for radio signs.

1 - http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/7...nd-female.html - Would it be possible to get these in 12"?

I expect this will be enough to get me started Next order should follow a bit later in the year. That will include power supplies, pixel strips for my new matrix as well as a few ECG controllers and extra goodies in case I run out of projects.

Be sure to have Ray quote you a price instead of simply just ordering from the web page - you will almost certainly get a better price.

I just got my DHL notice that my pixels arrived yesterday so hopefully they will be in-hand by tonight - woohoo!

I received my first larger order (32 strings for a tree and a few dumb strings and pixel modules plus some power supplies) a few weeks ago - Here is an advice :

Make sure you have a controller that can drive the Pixels before you order and then test everything immediately after it arrives.
I had 2 bad Pixel strings (half dead), one pixel module in another string was bad and two 5050 in the dumb strings were bad as well.
Contacted Ray and he will credit me for the next order - if I had waited until I really need the Pixels it would have been too late.

I did a sample order a few weeks back to see what types of pixels and power supply options I'd want. I wired them to my P12R and tested each one. The WS2801 strip (like the ones above) had a section with dead red pixels. Ray is including an extra for me as part of my order.

Both times I ordered I asked for the quote so I can try to shave money off shipping and stuff.
