do i need To install the nutcracker software on your local PC for it to work. I watched the videos i created a model but when i tried to make a matrix in effect gen it never does it? I know everything has been updated but is all effects available yet?

98% of people using Nutcracker do NOT need to install it on their home computers. Just use the web site, create target rgb devices, apply effects and get a Vixen vir file
or a LOR lms/lcb file or if LSP , use the lms file. I will get to making a msq file for lsp, just not yet.

Right now, i am redoing the logic for outputting vixena dn lor lms files. It should be finished and ready in about 2 days.


The only people who should install Nutcracker on their local machines are people who have pixel counts > 2000. I have created 4000 pixel sequences with the web page, some effects (especially the meteors ) may not finish to sequence before we get a timeout.

I have NOT released the Nutcracker to be installed by the general population, i have 3 beta testers who needed it and are using it. You must have a WAMP server installed, if you dont know what that is, dont even start trying to installing it on your local machine.

98% will only run Nutcracker form the web page.

*Someday* I want to have to install Nutcracker locally, but alas pixels are not quite cheap enough YET to trigger that circumstance... <sigh>
