Default 640 Pixel Mega (baby) tree

    Hey guys,

This is a rough demo of my 640 pixel baby mega tree (10ft) I put together fairly quickly. This consists of 16 strands of LPD6803 pixels with 40 pixels on each strand (6" spacing) folded in half giving me 32 strands total. Running this on an E681 Controller in ziz zag mode. Sequences were produced using Nutcracker!

I'm tempted to test it out as a 16 strand half mega tree.. but I'm kind of digging the fat tree...

    Looking Good!!!!

I am planning to make a similar design, but with 42 pixels. Same 16 folded in half.

yeah.. looking back I should have gone with 42 pixels on each strand.. could have made the tree a little bit taller... think i chose 40 cause it would give me more pixels to allocate somewhere else.. but anyways.. i'm satisfied.. your plugin for vixen and the nutcracker software have been a Godsend!! Thanks for all your work and making this easier for everyone!

Have you considered making it taller with a smaller bottom diameter?

Looks great! Have you tried it taller so the strings at the ground are closer together?

yeah.... The reason why its wide is because I got a 10 ft electrical pole from Lowes. About a foot of the pole is buried in the ground so thats giving me 9ft right there... This was just a quick setup to give me an idea on how everything looks. So much planning goes on for this stuff.. Now I need to think about my RGB star...
