Cylon eye

I made a Cylon eye board for a jack-o-lantern a couple years back using the firmware Phil came up with.
I posted the files to make one in the Copper section of the Library.

I have Phils firmware for the cylon eye. How can I speed the rate up. It appears very slow to me.

I haven't played with it for about two years, but I think this line......
#define PWM_SLOT_CONSTANT (2-52)
is the one to change (scroll about a ¼ of the way down). Change the "52". You also set the "decay" in the define line at the top.
#define DECAY_FACTOR 1

Thank you sir. I will try that. I loaded your version and it runs much faster than the one Phil put up. Would be nice to either put a pot on an analog input to one of the input pins and adjust the rate. Just experimenting. Want to do a Halloween display and your pumpkin idea sparked some interest. Thanks Wayne.

Thanks for posting these files. I got one running this morning and I love it. I edited the PCB file slightly for mine to fit on PCB material I had on hand. I just wanted to share a tip on getting all of those LEDs bent equally. I bent mine across a tube of IC chips. Simply lay the LED on the tube with the long lead to the left and the head butted up against the edge of the tube. Then bend the leads down against the side. I know a picture is worth 100 words so see pictures below for a better description. You can bend 24 LED perfectly in just a few minutes.

Working on a mini-cylon eye to put inside a crankbait fishing lure...

PIC12F675, 3v button cell, 4 LEDs... currently running the "eye" test to see how long a 3v button cell will run, but I think it's about 4 hours...

I guess its ok if you're into that sort of thing. Fishing and flashing lights oh wait I am into that stuff. Looks great Dave. I hope you catch an electric eel with that thing.
