Hopefully you have not made the same mistake that I did and got a class 10 SD card for your boot. Currently it is not well supported as the standard driver trys to put the SD host on the Pi into a mode it does NOT support and boot fails.

As for an enclosure- I am using a travel soap box that I cut a few appropriate holes into. It is a nice fit.

Haven't had that problem yet as it didn't come with an SD card so I have to get one - I plan on sticking to the compatibility guide listed on elinux.org.

You are much wiser than I my friend...

BTW: with the right cables, this thing ROCKS for the Pi: http://www.amazon.com/AT-Laptop-Dock.../dp/B004M17D62 HDMI display and USB touchpad and keyboard!! I think it can supply the power to the Pi also if done right.

Very interesting. What other cables are necessary?

Can save a few more bucks here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AT-T-Motorol...item20c8266241

    For video:

Micro HDMI Type D Female to Micro HDMI Type D Female to convert the MALE output of the dock to female.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-HDMI-T...item5ae8c0e27a

Micro HDMI Type D Male to HDMI Video connector male to attache from the adapter to the PI's HDMI output.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/170828436831#ht_3824wt_1186

    For USB:

Micro USB Male to Female Extension Data Cable to get the USB off the dockstation because it is tight with the hdmi out. It also lets you clip out the +5 feed from the dock station so you can go into the USB peripheral connector and not try to feed power into the device the wrong way.

Micro USB female to mini USB male to get up to MINI to feed the next adapter
    http://dx.com/p/micro-usb-female-to-...-adapter-59657

Mini USB female to USB male to go from the mini to full sized USB. Wish I could have found a one step to do this but this was the cheapest way I could find.

    Hope that helps!

I stole the SD/HC card from my daughter's camera (4GB) and fired up the Pi. I ran out of space pretty quick... I downloaded the OLA distribution but it's 600+MB zipped and I couldn't get the zip and dist in a 2G partition. I'd suggest you get a minimum of 8GB and enlarge the default 2G partition after installing the default distro. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to make it mount my WD NAS drive for lots of space.
