Here is the pole and arch together. Wish I had turned off the auto focus.

Looks good. I think you have the right formula. I wouldn't change a thing.

    My 2 cents...

I'm curious what a series of 'leaps' will look like, say 5 or so pixels moving left to right when the other pixels are dark?

Once again thanks for sharing this post! I'm going to test this out sometime this week when I get a chance as well and try to sequence some leaps and such... very cool!

Materdaddy showed a great idea for wrapping/mounting the GECE nodes at the start of this thread:

I dont have my E681 controller yet so unfortunatly I cant sequence it yet. Sounds like jaywalk101 might be able to though. I can tell you in the S3 visualizer it looks good, cant wait to run a few sequences on my own.

    Hey guys,

Got around to completing this today. Same setup as doug's.... Kind of threw this together fairly quick.. did some quick sequencing in Vixen 3.0...... I like the end results!

What kind of computer are you using for Vixen 3.0? I am worried about the same delay I saw on some of your demo video...

Also, can you send me your test sequence and node/patch data? I'm curious how you set up your grouping for colorful chases.

I'm using an AMD 3.2GHZ Quad core phenom II with 8GB of Ram, 1GB video card... Doesn't seem like a delay for me.. not sure what you mean.

I basically treated the whole 32 pixel strand as one logical group and the chase effect is pretty easy to use... Set up my e681 controller E1.31 plugin and defined 32 channels but checked the recognize as RGB option. Theres a gradient tool within the Chase feature that lets you get the transitional colors.. Hope this helps..

The delay portion is the little "skip" looking delay. At about 5 seconds, when chasing orange from right to left, it gets about 10 pixels in, then there's the slightest bit of delay before the chase continues. Am I the only perfectionist to notice things like that, or is it an artifact of the YouTubes? I have only done minimal playing with Vixen 3.0 on an old machine and I see delays like that a lot, so I thought maybe you were having a similar issue. Maybe it was simply my computer having the tiniest bit of delay (repeatedly) on the youtube video.
