I want to use vixen to control a laser light show as well as my lights. The free software I use to control my laser light projector is freeware called LFI player and can use a midi input. LFI player is not so intuitive but with midi basically you load up the light show images you want and if you send it a midi signal from a keyboard it will play the image assosiated with that key. If vixen could output midi signals with some virtual midi port software to link the two LFI player should respond. I was able to use virtual keyboard software and a virtual midi port and get lfi player to switch images when I pressed a key. LFI player has some information in the doccumentation about the midi port linking. http://sourceforge.net/projects/lfiplayer3d/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/lfip...Player/V1.1.6/

As a possible alternative LFI player also has settings for a com port that I have no idea what they do or if it is an input or output. I can't find any doccumentation about it. (I posted on a laser form hoping someone might know or the author would answer) LFI player is open source so it could be figured out but is beyond my abilities.

The end goal is to use vixen which already works with my light control hardware to also control my laser projector in time with music.

I hope someone can help, as it would open up the ability to add a laser light show to the display for anyone.
