I found a piece of glass for a coffee table, seen a video about an infinity mirror and got to work. I built the frame out of 1x4 pine and bought the legs for the table from lowes. Stained everything black seems like 50 coats. I ordered some 12v led from ebay got the shipped for free from china for 15 buck I thought that was an amazing deal. Got me a mirror cut at Lowes for another 15 bucks or so. Bought some reflective privacy tint from lowes. I tinted the glass I found with the reflective tint put the mirror in the bottom of the table frame ran the lights around the edge and this is what I got. Hope you enjoy.

Very cool! This would make some interesting props in a Christmas display, controlled by Vixen.

Based on the photos, it looks like you got an apparent depth of about 1 foot with the mirror about 1" - 2" from the tinted glass - is that correct?

That's just an awesome table. I know I wouldn't have the patience to put 50 coats of anything on anything! Wow!

Now let's see.... if a guy did that to all the windows on his house... shazzzzbatttt! Would that ever be cool-looking from the street!

@ don, I would say yes the mirror and glass are about 2" apart in the pics I did not have the lights centered between the glass and the mirror. I have since put some felt pads under the mirror to raise it to where the lights were centered. It made the rows or lights to be centered as well instead of two rows of lights then a space then two rows ect. I will get a new pic up soon to show what I mean. As far as the depth goes it looks like it goes all the way to the floor or more. I would say 2 to 3 feet. This is my first experiance with 12v led's and I see the potential. Is there a controller out there designed to control 12v? Renard is the only controller I have messed with.

I agree dirk that would be cool I have seen a guy do one on a wall for a halloween prop. never got to see the end results just the mirror he made.

If you're looking for controllers, you've come to the right place! There are a few different types that can do it - for example, Renard variants, E680x, Arduino, ...
