Have you tried High Carbon Band Saw Blade on a Band Saw
I'm working on a craft project which incorporates deer antlers. I need to cut the main stalk of the antlers, but the saws I've tried so far have given unsatisfactory results. I tried a coping saw, not surprisingly it did not leave a smooth cut. I tried my power miter saw, it cut but created a billowing cloud of noxious burnt antler smell. What kind of saw should I use? I don't have any more candidates in my collection (well, I'm pretty sure my jigsaw and sawzall wouldn't give me what I want, either), so maybe I need to get another saw for my toolbox. Or maybe just replace the blade on my miter saw? If the latter, any recommendations for type, TPI, etc.? Thanks.

No band saw, yet. I'd like to get one, but the 6.5 amp benchtop units are all my budget could handle right now, and I haven't been too impressed with their construction quality or the reviews of them. Hmm, I wonder if any of my neighbors have one?
Use a diamond edge cut off bladeyou could probably rent 1 for you circular saw ! or this

i always just use a good hack saw. although it would be better than a coping saw, it may not be as smooth as you would need... some sand paper could probably smooth it out though.
Just guessing, but how about a plywood / paneling blade on a table saw???
if your after a SUPER smooth cut , then the only blade I know that will give you that finish is a wet cut diamond edge TILE blade ( for cutting tile - NOT a masonry blade )
I agree with Jack Frost however wet is the key ingredient for a smooth cut and to cut down
on the smell of overlooked venison bones
IF YOU LIGHT IT THEY WILL COME!!!!
Thanks for the suggestions, gents. Looks like it'll be a hacksaw. "Hello, Lowe's, I'd like to use this gift card."
