I got mine too. Now I need a dmx dongle. Is there any way to have the pic programmed with renard protocol with addressing instead of dmx? If not I need to have a dmx converter or something. Would be nice to program the pic with either protocols. Thanks for the group buy. Don't worry Dirk, You will think of it after you put your pants on the right way...LOL

At this time only the DMX firmware has been written. I am not sure if Phil has any intentions of writing a Renard firmware at this time.

What programmer is needed to flash this PIC 16f1826? I have pickit 2.61 and the device is not listed.

    Thanks for any input.

Interesting- Pickit 2 SHOULD support it because the Pickit2 clone that I use lists it:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/iCA03-USB-PI...7&cmd=ViewItem

Maybe you should try the Pickit 2 code they offer at that link?

Download the PICKit2 Device Upgrade file HERE. Put the .dat file on top of the one in the PICKit2 SW install directory - it has support for the PIC16F1826 according to the file.
