Default Valentine Light Show flashing to music, complete noob.

I was hoping to buy a pre-made set-up but had no luck. I only have very limited budget and am very capable of learning something new in computers, speakers and lights. As you know, valentine's day is very close..and I just need a very small set for her small room. I want the lights to flash to "We Will Rock You"..her fav.

    What do you guys suggest?

When I first got in the hobby, I tried the K74 Parallel kit... These are 8 channel on/off with mechanical relays.. Worked pretty good for my first halloween show (you can order them pre-built)... But for Xmas I built my own boards using RenardSS. You should look into the RenardSS8 possibly if you want to continue doing this and expand.. Hope this helps.... Either way its going to be a learning curve......
    3750 + E1.31 Channels (3x E681)
    128 Renard Channels

    sequencing with LightShow Pro 2.5
640 Pixel Mega Tree w/ RGB Star, RGB Pixel Roofline, 6 x GECE Icicle Arches, 8 x RGB Mini Trees, 2 x Vertical Pixel Poles, 10 x FAST + more

Where can I find that? I couldn't find a place to buy it..is that the cheapest and quickest answer for a noob?

Wow..just 8.50..thats pretty cheap...and how would I assemble this with the light and everything? What kinda computer software would I need and all? Specific speaker demand? The link you pm'ed was for one that wasn't assembled..Is there a guide or something?

No programming needed. It will work with a parallel port relay board. Or, you can drive SSR's directly if you dont want all the "clickity-clack". Works with Winamp. Works great for what you are looking to do. Or... google "MSGEQ7 lights" if you are feeling up to it. Hack-a-Day has several projects listed using the MSGEQ7 chip too. You can do a search for "MSGEQ7" on their site.
