I think he was referring to the spiral tree link that was broken.
I'm designing my Mega tree based on this design, except I'm doing a 180 degree mega tree (half) with 16 strands. I'm currently mounting my pixels onto 3/4 electrical conduit. I was wondering how you made your base of your tree. It looks like your using T elbows to connect the pvc pipe. Did you use a heat gun to bend and connect the base? I'm thinking of maybe using some 3/4 liquid conduit as my base since its very flexible. Was wondering if anyone here has tried using it with their mega tree? I'm a little worried about the tree being top heavy and also one half my base will not be used this year, but I'm planning on using a lot of anchors and possibly center blocks to weight it down. Any thoughts or concerns on this idea? Thanks!

im building my mega tree right as i am typing....i built a 5 foot diameter base the tree will be about 9-10 feet tall depending on actual string length minus the deduction of the hypotenuse of the angle take up.....anyways i am using a 2" middle support PVc and my circular base is 3/4" pvc circled through a cross type shape made from 1" PVC joind together at the middle with a 4 way water type pvc connector....at the bottom of my 2" pvc center post i will have a 2" connector to a 3/4" female thread flat joint this will rest on the top of the cross...i will then drill a 1"OD diameter whole to shove a 2" long piece of threaded 3/4 chase nipple with locknuts and washers on the bottom side of the cross....at the bottom of the 2" long chase nipple i will put a rigid coupling and the get a longer piece of rigid pipe to insert in a 1 1/4 sleeve i inserted in the ground..all this is removable....tree topper will be 16 hole ready for zip ties

We did use a two tee's at the bottom of the base. We made 2 half circle's with our 3/4" PVC. To make this bend we did you a torch to heat up the PVC and allow it to bend a little better.

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have the instructions or active link for building this PVC Mega Tree? I have a couple that I love and would like to keep the PDF file in my files.

Well, after looking more throughly in my various file folders I found my copy of these instructions, see attached.
I have had some issues with the PVC fitting breaking and I am going to rebuild the support framework using fittings from https://formufit.com/ instead. They may be more expensive than plumbing fittings, but they are supposed to be 5X stronger and UV stabilized as well.
