Will these triacs work?

800V might be a bit overkill, but just wondering on the sensitivity part?
Thanks.

I assume you saw them on ebay. I was looking at them, but I shyed away because the tab is hot.
64 of 128 channels Freestyle -- 16 SSRoz
2 x SSR4 = 8 channels
72 Channels total
I still have 4 XMUS ren16 boards and a grinch w/DMX sitting in the basement. Next year...
Are you looking at the D, the E, or the F version of the part?
It appears that these TRIACs will only switch on in three of the four quadrants. This may give you problems if you try to do dimming with them.
However, if you can get a few at a good price, I'd say by all means experiment with them!
There sure as hell *are* user-serviceable parts inside!
The standard SSR circuits all use quadrants I and III, irrespective of whether you are dimming or not.

i think i'll skip on them.
I bought some of these last year. They work great for on/off but i have yet to try dimming them.
Waiting for my renard 64 boards
