Answer my own post, it appears computer related, grabed another one and everything fine. Do not like mysterys though, still not sure what is different ?. PS dont waste your time on me for this one. JK.

If you have Virus protection running, temporarily turn it off. I remember seeing this type of problem. I turned off AVG and Firewall temporarily and it seem to solve the problem. Once it ran the first time, I was able to leave them both on. For me, it was a problem when it was trying to check in with the VixenLights server to check for updates.

I was able to get the Vixen program to open, after eliminating all the ledtricks files, but only on the laptop that runs vista. That didnt work on the VP pro computer.
I was able to also run a sequence that I downloaded.
Now i just need to get it working on the XP

Using win 7 enterprise, dotnet 4. keep getting this screen. have re-tried installing several times, please advise.

Try running Vixen as Administrator - 'prepare.exe' is only run once when you first install Vixen - you don't actually need it unless you are converting over older version Vixen sequences...Originally Posted by ggusta

Double check that you extract the Vixen zip file first, and run Vixen.exe from the extracted folder. (Right click the saved zip file, then click Extract All)
If you run it directly from inside the zip file, Windows will drop it into your Temp folder which can cause that error.
