    Default Adjustable Preview

    Greetings

Is there something I'm missing, or do you have to rebuild the Adjustable Preview for each new sequence you build?

I have not found a way to save my edited preview image to save my display layout and call it back up when creating a new sequence with the same channels.
    Cheers!

I setup a sequence with the adjustable preview.
Get it exactly the way I want.
    Then Save it a Blank.vix

This becomes my base, when I need a new sequence I open it, edit, then save as the song'sname.vix

    Hope this helps

The adjustable preview is a plug in.
If you use profiles all the plug in data including adjustable preview and output channel mapping become part of the profile.

Yes you can copy a sequence to create a new one but if you later change the preview only that sequence changes.

With a profile you make changes with the profile manager and the changes are immediately available to all sequences that use that profile.

If you create a profile for your display, including the output plug-in(s) you require for your hardware and include the preview plug-in.
create/edit the preview in the profile editor.

use the profile in any new sequences and you automatically get the correct plug-ins and preview.

Just make your new sequence. Then use the copy data tool. But only copy the plug in data from sequence to sequence. Viola! Adjustable preview in the new sequence.

Yes but is there a way to copy that Adjustable Preview to a Profile. I just started to use the profiles for this years display. Can't seem to find a way to add the previous years Adjustable Preview to a new profile.
    Thanks

2 cents worth: I dropped using a Profile this year because of the problems of show stopping.

The problems with show stopping was resolved. See KC's post under Vixen, General.

Back up files first. One thing to try is open the sequence you want the preview in and flatten the profile you are using to the sequence, then copy the preview to that sequence, and last create new profile from sequence. This should create the profile with the preview. Did I mention Back up files first.!:p
