Excellent! Thanks everyone! Looks like I will be moving some cords around.

I actually lay the wire over the top of the gromet. It has a little give, so it will bend when you close the lid. Still maintain a water-tight box. Works for me and most of my boxes end up under snow. The only thing you have to do ia make sure the boxes stay right side up. If they end up up-side-down, they will fill with water.

I don't even use the grommets in mine - the wires pretty much fill up the hole and unless someone is out there with a hose, the water shouldn't be going up into them anyway. Never had a problem with this myself but we only get rain here in the winter.

I cut a slit in the grommet, slide the wire thru the slit then slide the grommet into place.

BE CAREFUL -- I had a helper try to shove the RJ45 through the grommet while it was in the enclosure and he ended up with bloody fingers. When we setup I go over saftey and that is one of the examples. :-)
Left to Do:
2011!!
All I did was cut a piece of cat5 about 6 inches long, put a plug on one end, slide it through the hole & plug it in. Then I crimp a connector to the end that is hanging outside of the box and put an RJ45 coupler on it. Never have to open the box after that or be concerned with leaving the gromets on long cables. Just my 2 cents worth lol.
