    Default SSREZ, TA-200, RJ45 oh my! - help with RJ45 in TA-200

I have all my SSREZ's mounted in TA-200 boxes. I have my 4 channel extension cords exiting one hole, and the power plug exiting the other. The problem I am running into is where does my cat5 wire go? How does everyone get the RJ45 clip end through the rubber grommet at the bottom of the TA-200? Does any have suggestions or pictures of what they have done? I want to keep them as water-tight as possible.

ROFL...well I do not terminate the CAT5 until its through the grommet. I put all the power cables through one hole...very tight but it works.

I suspect you are using side mount RJ45's. Correct?

in order for the network connector to go through the grommet, you have to cut every line..then you stretch it around the connector. Not a great thing if you want a tighter cable seal.

    Been there done that.
I now put all AC wires out one hole (yes, they will fit) and I leave the other hole completely available for the Data Cable.
This way I Don't have to terminate the cable once it is through the opening.
Here is a picture. This is a different SSR, but the approach should be the same.

Just cut the lines and push the Grommet through. Water doesn't travel up (for the most part) I have 32 SSRs that I used that previous two seasons. Haven't had a single problem with moisture. I acutally leave the Grommet on the on the Cable when i put them away. Then the next year I plug it in and then Slide the grommet in place.

DO NOT LOSE THE GROMMETS! The replacement cost is literally almost the cost of the enclosure!

Yeah, I would never worry about replacing them. Not like the boxes are air-tight.
