Thread: Scooby Doo Halloween

    Default Scooby Doo Halloween

Well i got slammed this year with my other jobs and could not put up any display with music to lights and use the new controllers and strobes I bought and built. I also built new Scooby Doo plywood cutouts this year. I decided to go with a static display as the kids don't stick around long enough for a show anyways. (they ARE on a candy mission to begin with...) In the past I had people cross over my Halloween fenses to get their pictures with my cutouts so I decided to build in a photo opp to my display. I placed a bail of hay between Scooby Doo and Shaggy where the kids could sit and a small opening in the fense where I could direct the kids. I also had my camera on hand to take the images for the parents. The photos were placed on my FaceBook page where the parents could down them. I also had the theme song playing with a techno and rock versions as well. If you want to see some of the snapshots with the kids in costumes visit my Facebook page at http://www.FaceBook.com/InFocusFotos

Thanks DIY Sparks. I use the grid method to draw my characters. Draw a grid on a photocopy of what you want, draw a grid on your boards. Work on each cell at a time. it's easier for you to work on a smaller section that to do the entire board as a whole.
I picked up the wrong brown for scooby and scrappy and didn't notice it until I was finished. The brown was glossy and I wanted a flat so that there is little reflection from lights. Oh well, most people wouldn't notice. I also used glow in the dark paint for dive monster in the window above the bushes. Had a black light on him to make it glow.
