pickit question

THIS is the one I got - it has been a fabulous programmer. In fact, I have bought a lot of stuff from Sure and never had anything even approaching a problem. Your mileage (of course) may vary.

I have the best of both - I have a real Microchip PICkit 2 with this particular ZIF socket board - works great and supports some of the other PICs used here on other projects. You can get the ZIF board separately for about $10 - well worth it - just remove the top plate because it just gets in the way.

Several people that have bought clones over the years love them till they have problems and then buy a real one.
I can't recommend a clone even being first in line for "cheap".

I bought mine from J1Sys and had trouble getting the first one to work. He sent a replacement to me with no problems. It has worked fine.

Ok forget problems, features, etc. How about just supporting a member who has supported the site and all of his fellow members.
