Reflective Strobe Lights - Cheap!

I got this idea from a Halloween store locally.

Costs: $7. I already had the strobe light, C9 socket, and vampire plug.

The reflector strobe in your video makes a big difference in the on the total effect of the strobe, nice job.

Well done! There's no question that if you can capture a light's output and direct it into a specific direction instead of 360 degrees it will give you a brighter effect! I used a lot of reflectors when I was a photographer and other ways to achieve a similar effect at even lower cost are to use kitchen mixing bowls or even aluminum plates. One of my favorites were small plastic tupperware bowls that I'd spray-painted silver on the inside and black on the outside. Being non-electrically conductive and flexible, I could put that over all kinds of things, cut the hole larger and force it over mounts, or even cut the whole side of a bowl and mount it from the back of the light instead of the front. Plastic works okay for strobes but not hot, 1000-watt modelling or fill floods though... it melts...
