Default Adding strobes to a mega tree

What is the best way to get strobes into a mega tree? Do I figure out how to hang them in the center or just weave them into the lights themselves?

I though about guy wires on the insides of the diameter of the light strings and use those to hang the lights from. Is that a good way?

The tree is about 20' total.

    Thank you for any advice,

    Jason

I guess it depends how many you are using. Last year I had 7 strobes in my mega tree. I just ran one zip line from the top to the bottom of the base. It looked fine. This year I will be adding more and will probably just wire tie them to the existing light strands.

The most common that I've seen is a c9 string zig zag inside the tree not using every socket. 15 to 25 is common amount of strobes in a megatree. Note that even though this is the most common, strobes in megatrees very greatly.

I'll see if I can find a pic I took of mine. I did the Zig-Zag thing that Brian mentioned. I just counted and I had 20 strobes on my 14 ft Mega Tree. They were on two channels. I took an old C9 strand and removed 3 out of every 4 sockets. I then zip-tied them to my Mega Strands. Worked great.

I have 10 in my tree and once the lights are up I go back and zig zag the strobe string across the mini strings using the clips on the C9 sockets to hold them to the strings. I also only mount them to the front of the tree instead of putting them all around.

I have 15 strobes in my mega, 3 strings of 5 each.

To make the strings, I used zip cord and C9 sockets. It's about 24' from the bottom, up to the top, and then back down again. On the first 12 foot I placed sockets at 4' and 8', and on the other 12' I placed them at 1', 6' and 11'.

The 3 strings are then run just like the rest of my mini lights: stake in the ground, up to the top, and then back down. They are evenly spaced around the tree.

If you look closely at the last picture here: http://www.landolights.com/main/component/option,com_ponygallery/func,viewcategory/catid,24/startpage,2/Itemid,62/#category

    (
click on the pic twice for the largest size and look close), you can see them.

I do something similar, but I use 3 pieces of paracord to attach the strobes to, that way they don't add any weight to the strings and make them sag more. I use 25 per 16' trree, all in the front half of the tree, and I think it looks pretty good.
