    Default SSR8 Board Interest

In support of Mac's new Simple Renard I suggested that we create a couple of new SSR boards. This first board is the SSR8 which is a 8 channel board designed to work with all renard controllers like Mac's new Simple Renard 32, and the Renard 64/xc. This board is fused and has 2 RJ45 jacks to connect to 2 ports on a renard.

So if anyone is interested I am planning on doing a run of 50 boards. So I would like to get some feedback.

Mac has also designed a 16 channel board as well and I am thinking of also producing that board as well.

BTW, The concept of this is from J Wilson, C Foley, and D Haberle (dirknerkle)

I would go in for a few boards....they would go well with the Simple 24's I already got from Mac.

I could home etch my own, but it is so much nicer to have all the screening and stuff done professionally.

I'd be interested in probably four of them. I've got open Ren-64 ports and I can grow into these next year.

I would be in for 6. I home-etched a bunch of Dirk's 8 Channel SSRs for my arches. I moving towards a mostly distributed model. Where each display element has an SSR. These are perfect for that model with most arches.

I'm in the process of changing the mounting holes on the PCB so they can be easily installed on an CG-500 enclosure that is available at WLC Ventures
