Simple Renard Tester Version 1.0

Here it is, a simple way to test your renard controller. Select your serial port setting, enter the number of channels you have, select your start channel and then slide the track bars to the value you want. No fuss, no muss. Quick, small and easy to use.

Version History:

 August 23, 2012 : Version 1.3 - Fixed a bug at startup if you don't have a com port, the application now fails gracefully.

October 16, 2011 : Version 1.2 - Added loading from a sequence, display colors from the profile or sequence and show background color
                                 as an approximation of the output color.  Minor code refactoring.

   July 18, 2011 : Version 1.1 - Added loading from profile information, display intensity in percent or raw value and showing output data.
                 :               Minor internal housekeeping, consistent variable naming, etc.

   June 30, 2011 : Version 1.0 - Initial Creation

I like it, tried it this morning at 57.6k and 115k and works fine, I like the fact that it's a click and go type file, very easy to setup and handy for testing.

One enhancement already requested is the use of an ini file to store settings, channel names and group names.

He kept talking about it and asking me to help him understand the protocol, finally, I was done building my controllers and couldn't wait for it anymore, so I just built the darn thing. There was no "Tom Sawyering" involved :D When I build the second thing with him as inspiration, then I might become a little suspicious.
