I'll take a look at this later today.

BTW, is this what you meant to say?

OK, it's hard to get back to sleep now.

At the moment I don't have any of the actual coop LED strips on hand, so my comments here are based on laying in bed, unable to get to sleep because I'm thinking about this problem. One thing that I think happened, though, is that some late changes on the LED board design changed it from common Cathode to common Anode (as CaptKirk has been trying to say), and I didn't realize that was what was happening when I made the change at Cory''s request (not his fault, but mine). This has the effect of changing all of the mappings that I had in mind when coding the firmware. It might be possible to fix this in software without totally screwing up the timing, although I'm not sure at the moment. It might also be possible to fix the problem by rotating the LEDs on the strings by 180 degrees, although this is obviously undesirable due to the resulting incompatibility wrt the FAST boards. In any case, I'm getting ahead of myself, as we are still in a diagnosis phase.

    More later.

    Yes I did.
the first LED to come on was number 14, the second 20, then 26 then 32 ...

    Thanks Phil.
After desoldering 3 times I now have leads on the the strip and controller so is easy to change to any order, if that part is wrong.

Are those the coop LED strips?

If you have a chance, try this new firmware. Use the same sequence that you used in the video, don't try to turn on more than one LED at a time. This is just a test file to see if the LED strips have truly been switched from common cathode to common anode.

    Perfect!!!!:D:D:D

BTW _BORV_25 needs to change to _BORV_27 as it is not defined in the include file.

    Great work.

Perfect??? I didn't expect that, I thought that the LEDs would still be out of order, but in a different manner.

Anyway, the board design now needs to be changed. The transistors should become 2N3904 or similar, and their collectors should go to +5V, rather than ground. With the firmware change (but not the board change), the PIC I/O current specs would be greatly exceeded.

So the transistor needs to change from PNP to NPN.

If that is the only change my board design will actually still work.
The collector was punching through to a ground plane on the back side.
That now switches to a +5 and all should be good.

sux to pay shipping on $9 worth of parts.
Let me know if that is the only change, and I will get them ordered.

Care to share the board design? I'd like to see the layout/pictures.
