    Erik,

What ever happened with this project? I am looking for an affordable solution for extending pixels and was looking to try to design something like this. I even went down the dual 485 route (cheap and widely available). My other thought was to make the SAME PCB be a transmitter or receiver so only ONE board could be used for either. I was thinking a jumper to the bar-RE and DE on each 485 could switch it around from transmit to receive. Not sure how much more that would make the transmitter as it would not need the current output of the switcher, but still one board that could be changed with jumpers would be sweet.

Did this ever get turned into boards??
