    Update:

I have completed and tested the first prototype of the RGB+W fitted with 2N2222AG transistors as the output drivers. This board really stretched the Free version of Eagle to its limits but we did get it to fit. I still need to make a few adjustments to the pad sizes and ground plane clearance because at this point it is not as user friendly as I would like it to be. Jesse (jem5136) has offered to help out with further testing. So I will be getting a revised version of a home etched PCB to him in the next week. I feel that Jesse will make a good example of an average DIYC member. So if he can populate this board with out too much trouble I will post the files for all to enjoy. I have attached a picture of the prototype board.

Well it has been awhile since we talked about the Simple Renard RGB+W. We are going to get some of the v.1b boards made up and then they will be available at Dean's (N7XG) web site soon. I may need to make some minor changes before they are sent out...any comments good or bad are welcome, they are also designed to fit in Chris's CG-500 case.

Just a small update the SR RGB+W PCB's should be back in a week or so.

What will be the max current per channel? Will it drive a 5 Meter long 30 Pixels/M Dumb RGB strip (3 amps full white)?

Each channel output of the SR RGB+W is the same as the 48LSD (400ma) if you want higher current I would suggest using either a SR 32 Combo or Ren64 with DC SSR's

The Ren 48LSD wiki states 600mA per channel, weren't you shooting for 500mA earlier in this thread?
