The Ren48LSD can run with either a well regulated 5v supply or a 9-24v supply using the regulator ("BOM 2"). The board has two separate DC inputs - the first "DC IN 1" powers the logic on the board via the regulator or the 5v supply. The second input, "DC IN 2" is only shared at the grounds but can be a different voltage than DC IN 1. What does that mean - well you can run 12v into DC IN 1 and use connectors 1-6 for up to 6 Rainbow Floods and run 24v into DC IN 2 and use connectors 7-12 for up to 6 MM's. Obviously, you'll have be sure not to mix the two up!

You'll also have to be sure the supplies are happy to share grounds - most do but you'll probably want to test them first.

Yeah computer power supplies work great, but only supply 5V and 12V. First you need to decide on what you are going to drive then find a power supply that works at the required voltage.

The superstrips are more of a curtain of light - I have mine tucked under the eaves of my house shining down across the front of the house. Normal floods usually have to be set back in your lawn shining at the house but with these you don't see the fixture itself.
