    Default SSRoz 4.5v

    Hey Guys,

In the past ive mainly used just 24v and 240v for my SSR's.

This year i have a couple of items that only need 4.5v. I have hooked up one of my normal 240v ssr's to a 4.5v power supply and they seem to work...I can turn on my light but i cant turn it off...

Do i need to change a resistor to make the srr's compatible with 4.5v?

    Thanks
    Brenton

The 4.5v that you're referring to is probably a 4.5v DC (direct current voltage, instead of cycling from postive to negative 50 times a second, it stays at a constant 4.5volts which confuses the triacs that we use.

You will need to use a DC board such as the DC ssr, ren24LV, or ren48LSD to name a few.
