I have a quick question that was probably answered in the thread but I'm too thick to comprehend. Can you mix Renards and Lynx's in the same Vixen profile?

For example, I have 3 RenardSS16s now. I want to add some Lynx Expresses. Can I have channels 1 - 48 be on the Renards and channels 49 - 64 be the Lynxs and all run on one comm port in Vixen?

You can't run Lynx on straight serial - they require DMX only - the Renard can run either RS-232 or RS-485 serial OR they can run DMX. If you configure them with DMX FW they can be in the same daisy-chained DMX string as the Lynx. You would use the Enttec Open or Enttec Pro Plug-in and just have channels 1-64 with the one plug-in.

You could also have a DMX dongle running Lynx and a serial port running Renard if you wanted but you would need to have the Enttec Plug-In as well as the Renard Plug-in defined. Either way will work - the DMX only way would be a bit easier since you only have one interface to deal with.

Most Certainly. I have run three different plugins at the same time, no problems at all. DMX Controller, DMX SSRs, RENARD 24, RENARD 16s.
