    Default Sequencing Newbie Questions

Ok Ill start of by introducing myself. My name is Nick and I love starting new hobbies, kinda like a hobby. I'm 16 years old and live in Ohio. My family loves Christmas and we set up lights every year. I usualy do most of the work but it gets boring seeing the same static display year after year. Im making this http://www.ksochristmaslights.com/how_to/index.html

I found this today and have been awing about it and researching for about 6 hours of and on. (i needed food lol) I want to get started as soon as possible because there is only 33 day left to do it. Im ordering parts tomarow and am putting up lights friday.

Right now I am trying to figure out how to sequence. Which brings me to my first question.

---What does event period mean in the first part of the sequence "Wizard"
I want to make it so i can turn on and off the lights as fast as possible and so i can get them as close to the beat too. By changing that from 100 mill to whatever, what does that do.

---How do I get the preview to work.
I got as far as drawling my channels with the squares to where my lights are going to be. Now I just need to get it to work with my sequence but thats where im stuck.

Thanks for your help. I cant wait to show you what my finished product is going to be.

Any tips or pointers along the way would be nice too.

100 milliseconds will give you 10 divisions per second, for most songs this is enough. 50 milliseconds will give you 20 divisions per second. I use 50 so that I can "strobe" a C9. I used 100 for Halloween, it was pretty good.

Sounds like your on your way with the preview. Just put some patterns on the grid and see what it looks like in the preview. The preview is a plug in like the others, Olsen, Renard etc. so make sure the plug-in is on the right (on the plug-in screen) and checked.
