Default How would you connect these?

I'm making 12 of these, each will be RGBW, using C7 retro LED bulbs. The "Easy" way to hook these up would be zip cord, plug on one end with 6' or so of cord, and a recept on the other side with 6" or so of cord, but that can get $$$ fast! These will be dasychaned, so no need for separate ch's for each luminary. Thoughts? Keep in mind, these will be in a wet/dry environment, here in philly we normaly get rain more then snow November/December.

One thought is to pick up 6' extension cords from Home Depot. Sometimes you can get them at $.79 on sale. Cut it in half and you have the male cord and the female cord.

They look great by the way!

It depend on what kind of versatility you want. If they will all be on, with the same color, at the same time, then 4 channels will do it. But, if you want complete control then you will need 48 channels and lots of cords.

because they are only 6" high... each being independent might be a bit much... for right now :-) I was thinking all on the same 4 ch's, just cause there is soooo much else to do for this year

In your case I would go the cheap 6' extension cord route, cut them 6" or so from the female end and you will have 5.5' for the male end. You would only need 48 cords and if you can get them for .79c then it would set you back 37.92 (+ tax) so that's probably a good bit cheaper than zip cord. Make sure to mark the cords for each color, spray paint would probably work well.
