Just tried to run Vixen on my new laptop which is Windows 7 64bit and it keeps crashing with FMOD errors. Any idea how to fix?

I believe the 64 bit/FMOD issue was resolved starting at version 2.1.

Might I also suggest adding your windows user account to the permissions on the vixen folder and assigning full permissions. Windows 7 does add a layer of security that **might** cause issues for some users. Also, create a link to vixen.exe, right click on that shortcut, "Compatibility", Run in Windows XP SP3 mode, disable visual themes, disable desktop composition, disable display scaling on high DPI settings and Run this program as an administrator. On my install, this has created a very stable Vixen that has yet to error out in the 3 months of daily usage.

    HI

I think I have seen this, will check tonight.
Try removing all Inputs/Ouputs/Addins see if it starts, then add back in only the dll's you need.

I know I was having issues running the Analoge Frequency Addin on Windows 7, had to go to XP to get that sequence done.

I am running Vixen 2.5.08 on Windows 7 64-bit Professional with no problems now. There were some problems getting it to run in C:/programs(x86). It appeared to be permission issues. I moved it to the root and it ran without changing anything. I created a Vixen directory on the root and then placed several versions in that directory. Everything from 2.1.1.0 on up runs without any issues.

I tried a copy of Vixen 2.5.08 in the programs(x86) directory just to see what the error was and it seems to be working fine now. Maybe there was an update that fixed something. I got Windows 7 the day after it was released and there were a lot of updates initially.

2.0.7 crashes with a permissions issue with the preferences file. I haven't pursued it but may, just to see if I can.
