    Default PIC Programmer???/

    OK -- i now have my REn ss24 just about finished, but i notice i have to programn the PIC's What is the suggest programmer, and where do i get it????

    The PicKit2 is the most popular - kychristmas has some currently available here. Option two with the ZIF socket is the way I would go - I started without a ZIF and added it very quickly after programming several PICs...

    Option 1 also has the ZIF socket. ;)

    Yes, but only for 8-14 pin DIPs. However, he has sold out, I believe.

    The 14 pin socket is all that is needed to program the chips we generall use here.

    The guy I bought the ten kits from has now become a member and is going to start selling them directly. He created a post in the Vendors area earlier today:

    Got in touch with Kelly, he does have some, or can get them. Thanks for your help. Next i will be asking for programming tips!

    There is also one on the pickit III if you decide on that one. This link will get you to the PICKIT III or the PICKITII
