I used this sequence to make sure my lights stayed off
Start
{tab}do ChannelsOff every second
ChannelsOff
{tab}all channels off
What day is good for you to get my lights setup
BTW, this is from the Vixen archives

ok, that didn't work, or I did something bad wrong.
I am also trying my first background script and am getting the same error message as Wayne.
edit. I am using an Olsen 595
If someone could provide a very basic background script that works I am sure I (and others in the same boat) could then play with it and customise it to suit our own requirements. Please.
And also of course, what are we doing wrong to get that error message.
thanks,
Jon

After some help from Cris, I found that if you have changed the name of the Vixen folder, it causes this error. To fix, open vixen and go to 'tools' - 'preferences' - expand 'Advanced' - 'Engine'
There you can correct the path and fix that error.
After I fixed that, I opened another can of worms I am still trying to sort out.
If and when I get this figured out, I will will post a guide to do this, if someone else doesn't.

Hmmm,
I couldn't help but notice that if "someone" is willing to "set up" displays, I would like to have a sequence or to made for me, albeit only eight channels :( , all i could afford for my first year in this.
Thanks Wayne, thats a whole lot better now. I will have a serious play with it when I get home.

Wow that explains why I got that error. I would have the script working on one computer. Copy the folder to a different computer but on a different drive. I would get this error. But if I installed a fresh copy of vixen then copied just the script it would work.
