How the heck do y'all sequence so quickly!

I'm at about a hour per minute. I usually take the song in break it apart versus, chorus, and bridge. I program each section then copy paste. It goes fairly quick. Once that is done I go in and fine tune.

Don't feel bad, I spend 6 hours yesterday changing a 3.0 minute song from 64 on/off chanels to 160 (128 dimming). I'm now working on a 3.5 minute song from scratch. At 1.5 minutes, 7 hours so far. If you can find a song someone else has put some time in on, you can adapt it to your layout much faster.

I find that sometimes I can sequence really quickly, and other times, I just can't get anything in time. There's one sequence, which I just couldn't get working about a month ago, and I'm now finishing it off really quickly.

Wow maybe I'm too much of a perfectionist... it took me 40 hours (granted this was off and on for a year) for a three and a half minute song...

I never knew how hard it was to sequence.... not to mention this entire project. I have been telling myself through the entire month of November had I known what I was getting myself in to, I would not have done it - then I said it outloud one night and my wife blew up at me and said "all your projects are like this and you KNOW you still would have done it so SHUT UP!"

SHES RIGHT (of course).

I've accomplished alot so far... run a new circuit for the lights, built 128 channels, *WE* are in the wiring stage... My entire family has been at this all month long.... Kids, wife, me... Its like a sweat shop over here!!! :(

I went from a 16 channel setup last year to 128 channel setup this year. But only using 93 of them. I'm at about 5 hours a minute right now. And I am cutting and pasting some things from last years sequences.

But everything is different, including the house, so it makes for a whole startover.

I wish I could do that. But I have a hard time differentiating the sounds. Trying to concentrate on one is always distracted by the others.

I am probably close to 5 hours per minute (or more) as well, it is hard to say though... not 100% sure. Sometimes more probably. I'm running 143 channels used (160 available) at 25ms. lots of boxes to fill :)

I came to the conclusion last year that 25ms is a pain in the butt and not worth it. I'm doing them all this year at 50ms. Can't really tell the difference in the finished product.

I agree with you, but I didn't learn that till I was nearly done sequencing this year!
