View Full Version : Lowes ge c7 lights fry on occasion

I have had 3 of these c7 strings fry on me, they just quit working.
out of 52 LEDs 8 were good. I haven't checked the last one yet. I have found that a resistor fried in the opposite end of the plug, In the part where you connect the next light to. It still passes ac through to the next string. I use these around my windows. The latest one is my bedroom window again. I already replaced it once. It is at the end of a 50 ft extension, others have worked fine for two weeks. I have the same in the c9's and they work fine no problems with them. Did anybody else experience this. They have all been on a Renard 24 v3.0

its most likly a diode not a resistor......it changes ac to dc to keep the lights from flickering ....if its a diode you can bypass it
