I do some moderate vinyl work and seen a lot of members here talking about going to vinyl dealers. So I thought I would offer my services if anyone needed it.

I mainly do stuff for motorcycles, that's my first choice hobby, but letters for a "tune to" sign wouldn't be that hard if you have a decent font and what you want ready to go. I used good calendar vinyl.

I currently have nonreflective in white/gray/black/red/orange/yellow/green/blue/purple and reflective in white/red/orange/yellow/green/blue.

If I don't log in and check my pm's, feel free to email me: stnick (at) lenoircitylights (dot) com

Here is a few examples of my work:

Just an idea .
Could you post some of your TUNE TO designs you already made along with some prices and sizes for a reference ?
And maybe some of the Vixen logos also ?
or just a rough estimate price for "Per letter per size/inch" idea ?

I haven't made any "Tune to", but I can make an example one using around 4-6" letters.

Do you mean the Vixen dog looking head thing or the DIYC tree logo? I can make the reindeer head logo, but I haven't made that one before so I would need to create the vector file unless someone has it already. I have made the tree logo for myself. I will post it below.

I do per complete size prices. This is roughly based on what size envelope I will need to use. If I can cut up each word and use a smaller envelope that I can use a postage stamp to send it out, it's much cheaper than if I have to buy a larger cardboard envelope that requires more postage. I am thinking it will be around $10-15 shipped for a basic 4" letter sign for something like "Tune to 91.5 FM, Listen to the Lights" if you let me cut each word seperate to put into a small envelope. If you want "Tune to 91.5 FM" and "Listen to the Lights" as two complete stickers, I hope it will fit in my bigger envelopes, but that depends on letter size. I may have to get a even larger envelope if I can find one.

Do you accept orders all year long? And do you plan on offering this service for many years or just for a little while?

I accept orders all year long because I sell most of my stickers during motorcycle riding season which is our off season. I will put a contact email address at the top, so anyone can shoot me an email I check regularly in case I drift away from DIYC during the summer months.

I plan on doing this for awhile. I own my vinyl cutter and supplies. I got it mainly for motorcycles and sell a bunch of stickers to moto people and I plan to ride motorcycles as long as I can, so I don't see any reason I would stop any time soon.

What would you need for the font, just an example or a file of some kind?

a font file if you got it (.ttf or any other kind of normal windows font file), I can do create outlines in adobe illustrator to make a vector file out of it.

A wide font works best in stickers.

How does this stuff hold up to the elements (color fading, adhesion)? Can you PM me your email? I have a font file and an example for you to look at for a ball park figure.

Should hold up fine, I have tested the nonreflective for awhile and it holds up great. The reflective vinyl is a different brand and haven't done as much road testing with it, just started using it this year because some motorcyclists like it for the safety factor.

To give you an idea. I have the nonreflective vinyl all over my motorcycle/helmet. I ride as much as I can (primary vehicle during spring-fall), I ride fast (100+ mph), and in all conditions (it's seen snow/rain/hail/100+ degree days) with no issues with my stickers. I wouldn't think 2 months out of the year outside would have much impact on it. It's rating is for 7 years which is the typical life for this type of vinyl.

I will pm you my address.

Trip,

Whats the size on those DIYC logo's?

I'm interested in a pair of the bright blue ones for my computer case.
