Did you remove the magnet ring thats housed in the round depression thats directly under your transmitter board?
Here's my version from earlier this month http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8989

yep i did, matter of fact your thread is what inspired me actually, i like it since it can be moved from pc to pc as needed....
if you dont mind, can you tell me where you got your sma to bnc adapter, and possibly a pic of the cable, id prefer to have mine like that then have the wires soldered to the bottom of the board..
thanks

Those won't fit the FM-02s that have the RP-SMA jacks installed. You'll have male pin meeting male pin.

Both my FM01 and FM02 did not have a SMA mounted on the board, so I bought a matched SMA connector along with the cable I listed from the same vendor.
total price was 5 bucks for the cable and connector, It just took a long time in arriving (5 weeks).

Some thing to make this idea a bit easyer, you can buy cheapo 3.5 to 5.25 adapters, the all plastic ones are best for do it yourself projects, its allmost like your finished unit, not sheilded, but bolting on a small cheapo aluminum project box would fix that.

this was just the first pic I found on google, I usaly get these localy for like a $1.99.
The plastic is easy to work with and real cheap and no disassembly of an old drive required, just toss your project together.
