MANY MANY THANKS TO FRANK.....
Frank took time out of his busy schedule this morning to help an old man (me) get my LEDTRIKS working.:D
Had the following issues
One row of LEDs in back words. My old eyes could not see it.
One leg on one chip not soldered. One 8x8 board did not work at all
Some minor Ghosting, will wait till next year to add resistors
Made all the changes, powered it up and smoke.... oops one of the power leads was loose and it fried some of the board etching. Frank showed me how to solder a wire to the board to jump over the fried part and now we had a working board. I asked Frank if he wanted me to wire the power on his board but he politely declined.:p
I guess now I am just a rookie as opposed to a complete novice.:D:D
I also built one of Franks ren24 controllers and after I got the cat5 cable correct(using a RS485 adapter from Animated Lighting, and again thanks to Frank) it worked the first time I fired it up.
Frank...again thank you very much, now go finish your own stuff:)
