Arrgghh! I was gonna order parts for my board today!
Anyone have any ideas for replacing a H11AA1 in a zero crossing detector?
Hm... digi-key suggested a Clare LDA100 as a replacement.
Datasheet: http://www.clare.com/home/pdfs.nsf/0/E6593A46E1DC6DA985256A2C0069199A/$file/Lda100.pdf
I'm at work and haven't had time to look at the datasheet in detail but it looks promising... any comments on this part substitution?

Order from Mouser?

Regrettably, Mouser doesn't stock some of the parts I need. Going to Digi-Key for everything would be preferable to ordering from 2 different places.

That part looks fine, although the CTR is a bit higher than the H11AA1 part. That shouldn't be a problem.
Once in a great while it turns out that Digikey is cheaper, but in general I've found Mouser to be less expensive. It may end up cheaper if you split your order, even taking into account increased shipping charges and paying possible sales taxes.

I recently gave up checking multiple sites and now use www.octopart.com . It might be worth a look, or at the very least bookmark it for later.

This topic came up in another thread recently and someone found a source I think. With that said and at that time I did a quick ebay search and found several sales for lots of H11AA1 chips. Just a thought.

Just checked and Newark.com has over 1600 in stock of the H11AA1 $1.87ea.

They have 2,223 at $0.82 each.
that's only 10mA will that be a problem since the 512-h11aa1 is 100mA?
