Hello everyone. I've not posted much since last year, but I am still into the hobby. I'll use this thread and edit as I am able to post my sequences for this year's show. Please use these as you wish, unless you plan to setup a display across the street from my house. :)

Edit
See below as I now include a link to all my 2009 sequences in a handy zip file, organized with a folder for each song. I am still working on a few songs, and if I get them completed, will post them here.

More to come, hopefully

Not sure about where to purchase, but if you look closely regarding my previous post, I think you will find your answer.

BTW, I should add for everyone that these are Vixen 2.1 sequences and 168 channels.

Tony - many thanks! I've already stolen - - errr - - borrowed a couple of your sequences for my show. I will be sure to give you full credit if I make any videos of it later. I will probably end up with an OK show this year when before I was looking at a pretty short one. The nice thing with yours is that many of your parts mapped to something of mine pretty well (not necessarily the same thing but close enough).

A big shout out to all of those that share their sequences. I much prefer to do my own stuff so that I can say "I did that!" but sometimes we all need a little help!

Thanks again!
Brian

It is my pleasure to share where I can, for a lot of my own sequences are a result of others sharing with me. Particularly Richard Holdman. Most of his sequences are recognizable these days. Enjoy.

Tony,

I just wanted to chime in and say thank you for your generosity. I got all hopped up on cinnamon swirls (Seinfeld reference) this year and spent the vast majority of my time setting up lights with no appreciation of how much work sequencing is. Without your generosity, I would have been reduced to random blinking.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

My pleasure, as a lot of my sequences are adapted from the sharing of others.

Tony,

Thanks for sharing. I was able to adapt Music Box Dancer pretty quickly (an hour or 2) to my display. Much appreciated.

Tony,

That was beautiful. You have a nice layout for your house and yard. You complemented it well with your display.

Tony,
Your Carol of the Bells inspired me. I cut and chopped and shrunk and modified it down to fit my 56 channels and it looks great. Thanks for sharing

Tony,

Thank you for these sequences. I am not sure what version you were using, but I ran them through the 20 -> 2.1 -> 2.5.0.8 upgrade process. And they all work great. If you would like I can zip them up and send them back to you. Just let me know. It was not that hard, but took some time to understand.

Andy,

I am using 2.1, but would definitely take you up on your offer for the updated version. Anything to save some time. Appreciate the assistance.

You can email me at (tony at palombolights dot com). Thanks!

Thanks very much for this! I didn't realize the enormous amount of time it takes to do a sequence that looks as great as yours.

Consequently, I used a lot of yours, and adapted them for my setup. Finding these was a real show saver!

Thanks again, and Merry Christmas!

That would be cool. I was going to make the effort to get videos up soon. It would be great to post that one from the news.

If you want to email to me, tony(at)palombolights(dot)com.

Thanks!

P.S. Glad to see others able to use the sequences. I have no shame in saying others have helped me and I'm glad to share also.

Andy if you don't mind could you post the upgraded ones on here so some of us newbies could try them out. I would try to do it myself but have no idea how to yet.

The link to the sequences seems to be not working anymore. Are the sequences still available for download somewhere else?

thanks!

I'm having difficulty with 1&1 hosting not listing indexes for the directories. If I can't restore the directory listings through their support, I'll look for an alternate presentation. The files are still out there, 1&1 made a change somehow and I haven't been able to restore the indexing.

Tony

Hey Tony...

I already have a version of your Beleive in Holiday Magic sequence on my site. I don't know how it got there, but I've been working on tweaking it for my display, and I *know* I got it from my own site.

It finally dawned on me just now: I fired up Vixen to work some more on my version, and pulled up the original as well. It has your name on it ;)

I must have downloaded it previously, and then it got mixed in with the 300 or so I converted this year from LOR.

Mike,

That is the one sequence I think I actually might have uploaded to your site last year. There could have been one or two more. I've not gotten around to posting them all though.

Thank you very much Tony for the sequences. This is my first year using light controllers. I have 128 channels and your sequences are just right for my planned light display. Again, thank you!

Here is a great way to get past annoying directory index listing blocks thanks to evoluted (http://evoluted.net), the original files can be found here (http://www.evoluted.net/community/code/directorylisting.php)(a demo can be viewed here (http://evoluted.net/stuff/)) but I modified the attached version to include icons for Vixen, LSP, and LOR.

Just upload the contents of this zip file to the first directory you want to show and all subdirectories will also be browsable.

Thanks for the effort Jrd. Sadly, I do not run a Linux package from 1&1, so I can't take advantage of PHP.

There are scripts available for any environment to do the listings. Are you simply running a Flat HTML site? I love OLD School! What type of hosting do you have from 1and1? All of them are capable of running scripts of one sort or another? We can either find some scripts or write you one for any hosting environment.

Sadly 1and1 has been disapointing in there support. Even more frustrating is the way the implement changes without regard for existing configurations. Its just too difficult to move, otherwise I would be. Although, this change was simply turning of the directory listing by default. This is thought to be a security issue. Its likely you can turn it back on through the control panel.

After the season, say starting around Feb or so, I will be happy to help anyone move off of 1and1 and onto something better .

An Evil Spock pic and NO ONE comments? Have I been banned from here too??? :p

FYI, I am absolutely serious about helping (IE, I'll do it all) people move off of 1and1. Normally I would charge for such a thing, but because:

You are my Christmas Friends
I hate 1and1 that much

I will do it gratis. Free. Pro Bono. 0 Lira. 100 yen shop with 100 yen off coupon. You get the idea...

Tony:

I've been re-working your 2008 BIHM sequence into my display for the past couple weeks. Did you know you are a fader trapped in a chaser's body?:D

I love your big color changes, and are using those almost 1 for 1 (including the spot light stuff). The flashier/chasing stuff I've been moving off to my chase elements (mini line/walkway/megatree), and subbing in my own 'background' stuff.

I think I have about 25 hours into the conversion now, and I've completed 7 mins so far. I don't think I would have done this song without your contribution!

Sounds like it's time for you to upgrade to a real host, but like oldcqr said it should probably be after the season.

I highly suggest IsMyWebsite. They are a "free" host but with quality above many of the cheap paid hosts. They are invitation based but if you would like to check it out then shoot me a PM and I'll give you an invite code.
