Some Channels Not Turning On - Random

I have been running my Halloween show for several days and have noticed that sometimes one of my two strobe channels will not turn on for a whole song, but then the next song it will turn on. It will vary between the two channels and is random. I have about 8 strobes on each old C9 light string. These are Darrel strobes.
Has anyone else had problems like this?

I have a strobe light that was acting really strange until a put a C7 bulb on the same channel with it, to draw enough current....

I can do that, I will put a regular bulb in one of the empty sockets and see if that helps. I know I had to do that with one of the LED strings I have, It did not work until I plugged in a regular string also.
