Not sure if this is right place to post this question....

I have 6 wreaths that are new to my display this year, (24"). I'm wondering what people do to secure them to the house. December winds in Northern Nevada can be brutal.

My wreathes are secured with wire ties to wooden stakes pounded into the ground next to the house. We get some nasty wind also and I've not had any problems.

Not an option for me. Some will be on the second story and below is the driveway.
Thanks for the input though.

I just use wire out of some romex to hang mine off the house lights, but it doesn't get too windy here. You might just need to have 2 mounts that you can tie the wreath off to. One at the top of the wreath and one at the bottom. Maybe eyelet anchors? You could then ziptie the wreath to them.

I live in Houston, which I know is fairly warm, but we get some wicked wind here in the winter. I just use 4 large Command Hooks. I warm up the window with a hairdryer and put them on the top, then put the wreath on and secure the bottom with two more upside down.

Never had a problem in 2 years.

I've been using the 3M command hooks for the past few years. I have 3 wreaths on my front windows, and I just stick the hooks right to the glass. I was worried that the cold would weaken the adhesive, but I pretty much have to scrape them off at the end of the season.

I'm not sure how they'd work if you need to attach over siding, but I might try that this year for the wreath over my garage, where I have no window.

Those 3M hooks generally work pretty well -- you have to make sure you attach them to a CLEAN surface, attach them well and don't hang anything on them before they have set (I think the directions say a few hours).

Upp heere in the nord country, vare it gitz predddy cold, ya, ve don use dem so much 'cuz dey don stick too good venn itz tirty below zero, don ya know...

After a summer of water fountain building I have turned my efforts to xmas lighting. Only trouble I cant talk the boss into it. But I think I can get away with a xmas wreath, maybe 3-4 feet in diameter.

I would like to use strings of individual red, green, blue and white lights wrapped in a spiral around the wreath. Thought about having each color light in order to appear as if the lights were turning around the wreath.

Any suggestions, plans, photos.

Thanks
